We had a quiet but nice weekend, mostly at home.

Bröllopsboken
Lea from affär gave me this fantastic Swedish book on weddings from 1970.
It includes all kinds of advices for the newly-weds - for example on how to decorate your home, how to set the table, how to choose your bedlinen and curtains, how to make coffee, how to polish your silverware, and even some on personal hygiene.
Such curious reading! We are going to be prepared in every way with this book on our bedside table ;)
Thank you, Lea!
More Old & Handsewn
Two new items for my continously growing collection of
Old & Handsewn:
Super fine dress for Frida Viola - too big yet, but very fine colours and details. And a little shirt for me - love the green.

Du er CMYK!
Sabine from I ♥ SISTERBRANDT sent me this very very nice little piece of street art: "You are CMYK" - a verbal play that pronounced in Danish get's to "You are beautiful"!
Now it decorates our living room together with one of niece Nanna's paintings in precisely the primary colours. Very poetic, very playful - good street art!
Thank you so much Sabine for making me smile every time I pass the pin-up board!

Where I grew up
This is where I grew up. In the Northern part of Denmark.
Ohh, I love this area. Isn't the light and the colours amazing?
We come there far to seldom.
This weekend we visited my mom - first time since last summer.
Six hours in car each way because of traffic jam - but it was worth all of it.

My home today
Always a little messy and always with lots of unfinished projects - despite the feeling of continously cleaning up.

His birthday
So, this is how he looks my love - his birthday this weekend.
Nothing big because of our summer plans - but Frida Viola and I did make him a nice breakfirst with coffee and croissants, just the way he likes it. Frida Viola gave him a drawing and a painted heart, very proud she was. She and I also made the jumping jack out of cardboard, mostly my project though.

Not so ill any longer...
Frida Viola has been ill since Saturday.
She and I have been at home.
Today...
...she made a tea party for the animals...
...played a lot in her dad and mom's bed...
...and while her mom was checking her email she did a little drawing.
So now she is not so ill any longer.
