Aoi Huber-Kono: era inverno
A perfect book for winter reading with the kids is this beautiful one: "Winter" ("når det er vinter") by Aoi Huber-Kono from 1972. If you find it, do buy it. Japanese-Italian Aoi Huber-Kono (who besides illustrations and books also makes wonderful wooden toys) uses the illustrations and the graphics in itself to tell the very simple story about winter: white pages for snow and graphic patterns in the white as footprints in the snow. At the end, colourful animals appear to be the ones who made the tracks in the snow.
Take a look here to see what else she made.
