♥Marapytta♥

Remember this - my birthday present...? Well, finally today I took part in one of Marapytta's workshops.
It was such a good day - very concentrated, very instructive and very very useful for me. As you might know I am not a very skilled sewer, and learning how to sew properly is a big wish. I was very exicted about participating in one of Marapytta's workshops and to see if could manage to sew some of Line's beautiful models. But I was positively surprised by her very simple and straightforward approach and I actually came home with a dress and a pair of leggings for Frida Viola - and the appetite for sewing more.

I can only highly recommend Marapytta's sewing school - also for beginners as myself - and this Friday is not my last one in the very cosy and aesthetic rooms that house the sewing school. I'll show you my projects later when the last details are finished.

wings

In the evenings I am busy with Frida Viola's costume for Shrovetide - or at least I try to. Both of the girls are ill now with high fever, so there is not much time left for anything else. I keep my fingers crossed that Frida Viola will be well for the carnival - she has been so keen on it.

my home today

I am still working on Molly's Christmas stocking. I know what to do rest of the evening.
Have a nice Friday evening all of you!

sewing

When my mom comes to visit us we always have lots of projects to do together. This time she brought me a new sewing machine. A good one, that is. My mom has always been sewing a lot, and practically all our clothes when we were kids were homemade. I have always dreamed about doing the same. First project with the new machine is a little jumpsuit in wool for Molly.

And a little more...

A little more from the days with my mom: Sewing projects for the baby. Mostly will of course be reused from Frida Viola (that is: reused from my own childhood), but this time I find it nice to make a little new stuff as well.

I love the classic Liberty prints for the little ones.
