Quiet & Good
This weekend has been quiet and good:
1. From mom's garden.
2. Frida Viola's hair in the morning - what can I say...? And oh yes, she has a big bruise on her cheek from one morning she woke up very abruptly and hit her head against the bed! She was still almost asleep and didn't even register the accident until later when she had a glimpse of herself in the mirror. She has never been a good sleeper, and "sleepy accidents" like this one are not at all unusual.
3. For Molly - from the thrift store.
4. Ramson in our weekly vegetable box.
5. And pesto made out of it together with almonds and a little bit of manchego.
6. Molly still loves to sleep in her hammock.
7. Little white flowers we found on our walk yesterday.

Vintage Baby
As you know I have a weakness for vintage kid's clothes. My collection of vintage baby clothes is big. This is a few favorite items - all of them from my own childhood and made by my mom, except the little rose dress in the last photo and the little green bonnet in the first photo.

Sisters
Frida Viola and A have been making more boats. This one is decorated with beads and a painted sail. Frida Viola said it was for Molly and wanted me to write "For Molly from Frida Viola" underneath it. But 5 minutes later she changed her mind and wanted the boat for herself - Molly could have one of the other not so pretty boats. It is so interesting seeing how she develops into her new role - not always so easy, but she gets along quite good, I think. I wonder how they will be as sisters, when they grow older...
I love the summer collection from Cotton and Milk - and look at the beautiful home of the designer behind, Justine Glanfield...

Easter Activities
I have been ill the last couple of days - not so fun with a little newborn and an almost three-years-old full of energy. Furthermore it has been freezing cold - even snow again - so most of our planned outdoor activities had to be changed into indoor ones. My energy has been so low, but finally today I went to the doctor and had some antibiotica - not something I am particularly fond of, but in this situation it felt like the right thing to do. A has done a great job in planning activities for Frida Viola - these are some of them...
1. Building little wooden ships is always great fun. The ceramic waves are made by Hesselholdt & Mejlvang - two of my absolute favorite Danish artists. I wrote this text about them a couple of years ago - and they offered us the beautiful waves.
2. Sowing cress - also a nice Easter activity.
3. Plum branches from mum's garden - now in flower.
4. Lots of lots of caresses and kisses.
5. This is what Molly and I have been practicing - and we are not doing so well. Frida Viola didn't ever learn to use the dummy, but with Molly I think it would be nice - to give me a little break once in a while.
6. Hand printed tablecloth that makes me happy - we used it for the wedding.
7. Baking daily is something we do when we are home all of us.

Best Friends
Frida Viola and her cousin Emma are best friends. They live three hours car ride from each other and have two years of age difference between them, but they are always totally absorbed in playing when they are together. Emma is the caring elder one, and I keep telling my sister that Emma would make a wonderful big sister - maybe because I wish for a little playmate for Molly too.

What we do
1. & 2. Frida Viola's Easter eggs - now decorating her room.
3. Cinnamon rolls.
4. Molly is not doing so much yet - mostly eating, sleeping and smiling :)
5. Tonight's dinner - salad with finely cut pointed cabbage, apple, feta cheese (goat), spring onion, dill, roasted almonds, olive oil, apple cider vinegar and elder flower lemonade. Tastes like spring.

Easter Vacation
Easter vacation has started. Usually we go here, but this year we won't - Molly is still too little for such a long car ride. Instead we will stay at home and have lots of visits from family and friends. A is going to work the first cuple of days, though, but later tonight my mom will come to keep Molly, Frida Viola and I company.
More photos from last Easter.
