Her day
She can easily spend all her day
1) watching Cirkeline
2) cooking
I try to be restrictive about # 1 but admittedly it is such a great opportunity to get some work done myself.
At the moment Cirkeline and Pippi are favorites.
Any good suggestions for other good quality movies for little two-year-olds?

Egyptian Candy
I bought this very fine candy in Cairo - the wrapping so delicate but the taste far too sweet for me.
The cairens love their sweets. A whole street is dedicated to candy shops with chocolates and candy in all colours and flavours.
For me mostly candy for the eyes.
Elisabeth's candy posts.
This is also nice looking at - fantastic Norwegian knitwear from Arne & Carlos.
Per Mølgaard
I wrote a text on Danish artist Per Mølgaard for his new book.
It just arrived from the printer - and I am very satisfied with the result.
I really like Per's beautiful paintings with their strange mixture of inside and outside.
He is living with his family in an old, disused school at the countryside in Sweden and he uses his near surroundings, the Swedish nature and his everyday life as background for his work.
The book is published via Hurricane Publishing and Kasper Bonnén is contributing with a text as well.
Buy it here.

Cairo #3
The interior and the atmosphere of this little green café in Islamic Cairo was so fine and special. All the colours like candy and everything very old and run-down in a beautiful way.
Food was delicious as well.
I am sorry, but I cannot explain how to find it - it just popped up in the narrow, labyrinthine street of Islamic Cairo and we were hungry at the right moment.

Feather
Frida Viola had new ballerina shoes this weekend. Of course she had to wear her ballerina skirt as well. She was very fascinated by the new shoes and sat just looking at them for what I think is very long for a 2-year-old.
I had a new pin - actually I won it from Sabine's give away at
I ♥ SISTERBRANDT.
It's a fine little feather or leaf and I think it looks beautiful on my new dress from Tricotage.
Thank you very much, Sabine!

Sun Salutation
The sun has been shining all day.
We made a sun too.
Tomorrow I will start making yoga again more regularly. Previously it was a daily practice but after Frida Viola this has been difficult to maintain. Now I am more than happy for just a couple of practices per week.
I guess this it how it is - you have to adapt and then you feel so grateful.

Cairo #2
Every sentense I try to compose about Cairo comes out in a very stereotypical way.
What strikes me most is that almost all of my photos are empty of people - facing the fact that the city is bustling with life, especially now in the aftermaths of the revolution.
The city was filled with traces of all these people living very close - empty chairs, a glass of tea, piles of blankets.
Everyone we spoke with were so happy - but the uncertainty about the future also began to scatter.
While I was gone the interview I made with Emil Westman Hertz was online at Kopenhagen.dk.

Cairo #1
I am back from Cairo again - resting my head and my eyes.
Cairo has filled me totally with wonderful impressions, colours, sounds and a fantastic, euphoric, uplifting but also very tense revolutionary ambience.
These are my first impressions.
More photos will come.

First little signs
We definitely feel it coming now.
Tomorrow I will be leaving for Cairo with the gallery.
Strange time to go there just after the revolution.
Hope it will be interesting.

Fastelavnsfest
Remember the bunny costume? Well, today was the day and she was very proud when we went to the "party" in kindergarten.
I was very satisfied as well - especially with the idea that the costume is in two parts and that the pom pom is attached with a button so that the little woollen one-piece can be used alone.
