The Happy Lion
Today all three of us went to the theater to see the story about The Happy Lion. We wanted to make something special with Frida Viola before the baby arrives, and A took half the day off. Both he and I remember Louise Fabio's stories about The Happy Lion and especially the fantastic illustrations made by her husband, Roger Duvoisin, from our childhood. Frida Viola has just the perfect age for the stories right now.
Det Lille Teater (a legendary Danish children's theater) has such a nice atmosphere, and we brought some of their fantastic posters with us home. The two in the top photo are from the 70's, I think, made by Birgitte Livbjerg.

ReplyDeleteI bet you all had a lovely afternoon. The two posters are stunning, I love the contrast of colors as the neat and plain lines in drawing. (the poster of the lion show is also really lovely )
