Sunday

The light was beautiful when we passed the canal on our way home from the playground this afternoon. Few minutes later it was dark. We didn't have any plans this weekend and just stayed home the 4 of us, doing small projects. I finally started sewing Molly's christmas stocking. I wanted to do something similar to Frida Viola's. And we did a lot of cooking. This apricot compote is delicious and very simple. Soak two handfuls of dried apricots in water over night. Boil the apricots in the water with a teaspoon of vanilla until they are very soft and blend them. It tastes heavenly as Frida Viola put it. I made it for Molly but we all like it.

Good Sunday all of you!

Sunday

We didn't do much today. It was a real Sunday with...

1. Good breakfast with lots of fresh fruit.
2. A roadside flea market. Again it was Frida Viola who had a hard time leaving it - she found a whole basket filled with glittering princess stuff that I didn't want to buy for her.
3. Afternoon at the playground with sun, good coffee and lots of swinging.
4. And beautiful beetroots for dinner.

Hope you Sunday was just as fine.

Sunday Morning Joy

I love the quiet Sunday mornings where everybody else in the house is still asleep. I love the morning light, her untidy morning hair and the moment where we have to decide what the day will bring.

She loves yoghurt with banana and muesli.
