ever-changing
Molly and I love to spend some time in Frida Viola's room when she is in kindergarten. Molly thinks it's adventurous - so much to look at and to explore. Soon it will be her room too. We have reorganized things a little to make space for both of them. The room has changed so many times already.
This is how it looked a couple of years ago.

Little changes...
A finished the new old bed for Frida Viola. She has been sleeping in it for a couple of days now - and she likes it. I like the thought that my dad also slept in that bed when he was a little boy.
The little blue chair is a classical Danish institution chair - a Hukit chair designed by Kaj Høffner Larsen in 1967. I love the design of it and have been searching for one ever since I was pregnant with Frida Viola.
The other day when she and I were walking in our neighbourhood this blue one simply stood there with a note: "Please take the chair for free!" I rang the doorbell and a very nice lady answered that she was just happy that the chair could have a new life with new little people - her own kids were grown up. So sweet!

My Home Today
A has been working on a new bed for Frida Viola this weekend. Or actually it is not new - it's an old one that we found here. It was my dad's and his sister's when they were kids. Frida Viola is very exicted about the project. She refuses to sleep in her cot any longer (she calls it a jail!), and right now she is sleeping at the mattresses at the floor in her room. I am looking forward to the changes as well because every night she wakes up and wants to go into my bed that is both warmer and more comfy.

Ever-changing
Her room is changing a little all the time. I guess that's how it is.
This is how it looks at the moment.
The orange closet was A's grandmother's first kitchen closet.
Below is how the room looked when Frida Viola was new born. Wonder how it will look when she is 10.

Soft spot
Today, when I was organizing Frida Viola's room I realized that I have collected piles of baby linen in her closet. All of it very nice, but really far too much for one child.
Most of it from my own childhood, the rest thrift store finds - I do have a soft spot.
Later today, Frida Viola and I went to the local Asian supermarket. I love strolling around there looking at strange ingredients and nice labels. Frida Viola really liked the flowers.
ohh, and by the way: Little Nordic is a nice new site, via fine little day.
Have a nice evening!
