Lisbon #1

We are back home from a wondeful week in Lisbon. The city really was beautiful with its watercolour like light, all its fantastic tiles and mosaics and its many pracas (squares) and parks. The girls liked it a lot - they were exhausted in the evenings of course, but they had so much positive attention with their blonde hair from the heartwarmingly friendly and sweet, sweet locals - smiles, hugs, chit chats, candies, and lots of helping hands with the stroller. I have been looking through my many, many photos - these are just a few, and I won't spare you for more in the next days.

jungera

I am very much in love with the soft and simple collection from jungera. I would love the little quilted indi jacket for Molly together with a couple of other items.

Lisbon

In a short time we will fly to Lisbon. We are all very excited, especially Frida Viola.
I have only spent one day in Lisbon many years ago, when I was 18 and on interrail, coming in from Barcelona and heading towards the coast. I remember the city as spellbinding and that I really wanted to stay and explore it.

I would be grateful for any good Lisbon tips?

Nordisk Brødhus // Nordic Bread House

hi there all of you! we have had such a busy week with our sweet niece visiting us from Jutland staying all week, and my mom's 60-years birthday this weekend in the northern part of Denmark. We have a 5 hours car ride to reach her place and going back and forth in two days (with a broken exhaust pipe on the car!) is not too funny with the little kids. Today we are tired.

The photos are from Nordisk Brødhus (Nordic Bread House) in Rantzausgade. I sat there an hour or so last Thursday when I was in that part of the city, writing on my speech for my mom. It's such a lovely place. Very rustic - and Nordic - and the baked goods are the best, all baked in the big wood-fired oven. They make a good coffee too, and if it wasn't so far from our neighborhood it would soon become a daily spot for me.

bathroom update #2

A few more details from our new bathroom (and then I promise, not a word more about it!)
It's functional now, and after several months of renovation it's such a pleasure. We like it, and I think it's a nice fit for the rest of the apartment.

We finally got my collection of small bathroom cabinets up, and it turned out to be a perfect way to organize all our bathroom stuff.

almost like a vacation

Molly has been ill most of the week. I'm pretty sure it's asthma related, and it seems as if her immune system is working overtime. I would be grateful for any good advice - maybe some of you have experiences with small asthma kids to share...?

Except for that our week has been good - starting out in Sweden and later a visit from my mom, ballet in the Royal Theater and long walks in the autumn sun.

rag rugs

Beautiful Swedish rag rugs. We have them all over in our Swedish country house. I like them much - and I love to find them at flea markets and in thrift stores. They are a perfect fit for the the house.
