bluish & greenish
For the past years we have been collecting old plates for our house in Sweden at the local flea markets. Our criterias have been bluish & greenish, only classic Swedish porcelain as Rörstrand, Gustavsberg, Upsala-Ekeby, and max 20 SEK. Our collection is growing slowly since our price threshold is quite low, but this summer I was lucky to find good treasures at bargain price.
I thought it was fun when I saw Elizabeth Dunker's blue collection at fine little day.

2. Apples from a friend's garden.
3. New chest of drawers. I like the colour but it need to be repainted, though.
4. Lyngby vases - the tiny one is from A's grandmom, the two bigger ones are from a flea market in Sweden this summer, only 25 SEK for the two of them.
5. Baking.
6. Summer (koldskål!).
7. Homemade muesli in jars from affär.

my home today
1. Tiny shoes for Frida Viola's doll.
2. Love the colours of this bowl.
3. This tree nearby makes a cave at this time of the year.
4. Little tee for Molly from this flea market.
5. Popsicle and "Lilla Spöket Laban" film is good after a long day in the forest - Frida Viola has started in "forest kindergarten" (don't know how to say it in English! But the kids go with bus one hour out of the city to stay in the forest all day. It's good, although it's a long bus ride, especially when you suffer from car sickness as Frida Viola does.)
6. Another Swedish flea find for Molly.

little treasures
We are back home again and unpacking all our little flea finds and treasures:
1. & 3. Bravo Kola - Swedish candy that has been produced since the 30s! I don't really like them, but their packaging is so pretty.
2. The sweetest little cup from Arabia - found at this flea market.
3. For Frida Viola's tea parties, also from Fageräng.
4. I always look for handwoven linen dishcloths in the Swedish thrift stores. They are made in such a good quality, very beautiful and durable. Some of them - like this pile - have never been used.
5. Frida Viola gave me Baby's Breath from the backyard yesterday. Such a fantastic name. In Danish it is called bridal veil - also nice.

Together and on my own
We are still many up here, but slowly we are finding a balance - also finding time for just relaxing in each our way. I relax when I go to the flea markets or the local thrift store, when I hang up the laundry and look out over the fields, when I read stories for Frida Viola, when I see Molly smile, when I have time for cooking - and when I sit here in the kitchen, alone in the evening with the door open to the porch and with my friends sitting in the living room just beside me. I can hear them talk, but I am here on my own.

Dagnysminde # 1
I love the little road leading to my grandmom's old country house, Dagnysminde.
This place always makes me feel like a little girl again. I remember walking back and forth this road again and again when I was a child. I still think there is something fairytale-like about it.
Below is Frida Viola today at the flea market. So many people visited it - I had barely any time to take photos. Maybe some more tomorrow.

Flea Market
Good morning :)
My aunt, some of her friends and my mom are making a flea market this weekend (July 7-8) at my grandmom's old house, Dagnysminde. So if you by any chance should be in the Northern part of Denmark, come visit us!
A and I will bring some things too - but not so much because we had to bring it with us from Copenhagen.
You will find us here, Saturday and Sunday 10 am- 4 pm: Dagnysminde, Søttrupvej 1, 9881 Bindslev.

Summer Vacation
Summer vacation has started - at least for the girls and me. We are up here at my mom's place - and it always strikes me how much I have been missing the green and the air. We haven't been doing much - picking flowers, walking, visiting the first flea market... A is still back in Copenhagen for a couple of weeks - poor him...

Summer in Cph
We want to move, yes, but summer in Copenhagen is also nice (especially when you are on maternity leave) - flea markets, parks, ice cream, playing outside...
1. The parks are blossoming.
2. Molly is wearing little summer dresses. She is 2 months now.
3. Crochet baby string from Shirley Bredal.
4. Waiting for dinner.
5. No garden, but lots of basil in the window sill.
6. From a flea market - don't know what it's called (?), but it's beautiful and very functional when you want to sieve the flour.

My home today
I have been wanting this kind of plant for a while (don't know the name of it...?) and now I finally found it. I like the little dots of yellow.
The flashlights are some of the totally indispensable flea market finds from Sweden. Really good ones - and you never know when you'll need a flashlight like this. I should have left them in the house where they will probably be of more use though, but you never know...
The beautiful little handmade car from the same flea market.
Yesterday it was Midsummer and we always go to a bonfire but not this year because we were all still exhausted after the flu. It made me a little sad - I don't think I have ever missed a Midsummer bonfire before.
